Elections Forever will be released for the November US Congressional (House/Senate) elections.

It will initially have 4 modes: US, UK, Canada, and Australia (each of these has a slightly different game engine and editor capabilities).

Each of those modes in turn has official campaigns.

The roadmap currently is:

1. Initial launch with US (House 2014-2026, Senate 2010-2026), UK (2010, 2015, 2017, 2019), Canada (2000-2019, some provincial campaigns), Australia (2016, 2019) modes
2. UK up to speed by adding 2024
3. Canada up to speed by adding 2021, 2025
4. Australia up to speed by adding 2022, 2025
5. Updating older official campaigns with updated/higher-resolution images

Elections Forever is intended as an evergreen global game, and so updates will be ongoing to improve the game, Editor, engine capabilities, community-crafted campaign support, and so on.

President Infinity 2024 v. 1.8.1 update:

– added Solidify Support to simulate completing primaries and entering general election electorate dynamics, this fixes a gameplay issue where after extended primaries support would be too weak and lead to too much fluidity in general election %s
– Editor > Veeps > fixed bug where couldn’t turn on/off ‘Vice-Leaders enabled for campaign’
– Player Info > Spy Button > added more detail about how Spies work
– fixed bug where would have all white campaign images (from BMPs in campaign)
– fixed bug where would have dark campaign images (from 16bit BMPs in campaign)

This version will add support solidification after the primaries.

What was happening – especially in a contentious primaries – was that support for a given party was weakening, especially in key primary states. For example, California might see heavy campaigning, and so weakening of support for various candidates in the Democratic party.

The problem is that when it switched to the general election, this weakening of support would continue. So Democrats would be especially vulnerable in, say, California.

What was missing was support solidification after the primaries. Now, before the game enters the general election (and so opens up cross-party switching for voters) it solidifies voters in a given party, moving 75% of voters to match the campaign-specified levels of support for undecided, leaning, and committed %s in a given Geo and Party, if those numbers are weaker when entering the general election than specified in the campaign.

A More Perfect Union Alpha v. Independence 0.4.5 brings the game to 1778, while also expanding the Info system to include Pols, Geos, and Metres.

A More Perfect Union – Era of Independence won’t make the June release target. Best guess at this point is July. Thank you for your patience!

A More Perfect Union now has a target release date of June 2026 for the Era of Independence.

There will probably be an update before that bringing the game to 1780.

Union will be released Era by Era, with the Era of Independence coming first.

Owners will receive all 15 Eras, going from Era of Independence all the way to Era of the Future.
