This version will add support solidification after the primaries.
What was happening – especially in a contentious primaries – was that support for a given party was weakening, especially in key primary states. For example, California might see heavy campaigning, and so weakening of support for various candidates in the Democratic party.
The problem is that when it switched to the general election, this weakening of support would continue. So Democrats would be especially vulnerable in, say, California.
What was missing was support solidification after the primaries. Now, before the game enters the general election (and so opens up cross-party switching for voters) it solidifies voters in a given party, moving 75% of voters to match the campaign-specified levels of support for undecided, leaning, and committed %s in a given Geo and Party, if those numbers are weaker when entering the general election than specified in the campaign.
Good to see the support solidification mechanic coming in. The bleed-over from primary campaigning into the general election always felt a bit off, especially in heavy-primary states like California. Solidifying party support before cross-party switching opens up should make the general phase feel much more realistic. This update also deserves a fresh trailer; turning in-game screenshots into a short promo clip with vidpixo works really well for that. Looking forward to the patch!
