President Infinity v. 3.1.1 for Windows and Mac has been released!
This update changes how the game engine handles undecideds (undecideds tend to move to leaning more rapidly), continues to update 2020 (adds latest polling, Republicans > adds Sanford and Walsh, decreases stats of various Democratic candidates, increases stats for Biden, sets Republican debates threshold to 25%, and more), adds a primaries news story after weekly public polls released that gives boost to candidate 1st in polls (if primaries competitive), decreases how powerful Ground Ops are, fixes a bug with %s in primaries, and more.
Note: this version changes spacebarring to close various screens to ‘n’.

If you are a President Infinity owner on subscription (or if you purchased President Infinity within the last year), you are eligible for this upgrade (if not, you can add a subscription here).

What’s new in this upgrade from the previous sneak-peek (v. 3.1.0).
- adds September 10th, 2019 start date
- added ‘pop undecideds’ functionality (game engine treats ‘undecided’ as an unstable state, and ‘pops’ voters to a candidate with + momentum who is tied for 1st in their Favorability scores at a rate that tends to cause fewer undecideds)
- Primaries > added weekly news story after polls, gives + momentum to leader 1st in poll
- Constituency Screen > moved up and down buttons for leaders to right, made bigger
- decreased how powerful Ground Ops are (Org. Strength x Footsoldiers), now if up to 7 days out is full powered, else up to 20 days out is 0.5, else up to 40 days out is 0.3, else up to 60 days out is 0.2, else up to 80 days out is 0.1, else up to 100 days out is 0.05, else up to 200 days out is 0.01, else is 0
- Primaries > fixed bug in %s if turnout was a low value for a region (%s would suddenly be split evenly between all candidates, then switch back to accurate %s)
- updated 2020
- Republicans > added Joe Walsh, Mark Sanford
- Relations > Biden-Warren, Sanders, Buttigieg, Yang, O’Rourke, Klobuchar, Steyer, Delaney, Tim Ryan, Bennet, Williamson, de Blasio, Messam, Bullock, Sestak, Gillibrand, Inslee, Moulton, Hickenlooper None -> Good, Biden-Gabbard None -> Very Good, Harris-Gabbard None -> Bad, Harris-Booker None -> Good

i dont receive email when i go to download?
@Caden, I have manually sent your e-mail – sometimes the automated e-mails are delayed sending to specific e-mail addresses.
nvm it works!
I love the update because we don’t get 60% undecideds anymore!
@Chad, Good to hear!
Looks awesome — looking forward to trying it out, but the code hasn’t arrived in my email yet.
Been waiting two hours now. The site said I’d be emailed a link, but still nothing.
Anthony – Thanks for the update, hope you had a great summer! Can’t wait to try this out with the new undecideds fix.
I’m not getting an email either.
Did you all check your spam folder? For an unknown and obviously ridiculous reason the Email was sent there for me. Nevertheless it works and looks great, thanks Anthony!
I figured out what it was. My subscription expired. I renewed it so it should be working fine now, I think. I’m about to find out.
@Forum’s Conservative Elector 2, thanks for the feedback! Yes, sometimes the e-mails are put in a spam folder, other times there is a delay with it seems Gmail in particular. Looking into this now.
@Thr33, thanks for the feedback!
@Ted, I’ve manually e-mailed you a link. Again, this probably has to do with e-mails being delayed when sent to certain e-mail addresses.
I’m getting an error message when trying to download the update. It says: “An error occurred while trying to replace the existing file: DeleteFile failed; code 5. Access is denied.” I’ve never had this problem before? How can I fix this?
Have only done one playthrough as an observer and the undecideds seem to have calmed down. Just a small cosmetic suggestion, for the party primary polling news, could it read something like “Sanders leads Warren in Democratic race” rather than just “Sanders leads Warren in polls”. It would be especially useful for 2016 type scenarios with multiple parties having competitive primaries.
Ross Perot has been dead for over two months, but you still have him as an endorser. You should probably remove him.
@Alger,
Thanks for this – Ross Perot has been removed and Koch Bros. changed in latest internal – will be included in the next release.
@Daons,
Good idea – noted.
@Rene,
Please contact us at https://270soft.com/contact and I can try to help you with this.
I know its all about who wins caucuses and primaries but sometimes the person who makes a surprise finish like Clinton 1992 2nd place finish New Hampshire or Rubios close 3rd in Iowa sometimes make a bigger splash than who actually won. I’m curious if you could emulate that into the game at all.
@Moderateguy,
Ya, I’d like to add in more details like this for the primaries news stories – we’ll see.
Dukakis has announced his support for Warren in a radio interview, and idk if this has been patched but in the last update justin amash is listed as “fmr. rep Justin Amash” https://www.boston.com/news/politics/2019/08/16/michael-dukakis-elizabeth-warren
@Cede, thanks for this – noted.
Not sure I understand the “pops undecided” and what that means. When are we getting the voting blocs?
