This post will keep track of changes to the upcoming version of President Infinity v. Amundsen – Test Release – 1.8.4, and includes an estimated release date for it (as with any estimate, this can change).

Est. release date: Saturday, January 17th.

  8. @Jonathan, I read the article. While the biased views are clearly shown in the article, this would simply mess the way current rankings are in-game. Where is Sarah Palin, Nikki Haley, and Michele Bachmann? They could run, and for that matter, why is the Huffington Post speculating so many male candidates for the GOP slate of candidates? I would like to see the article include Sarah Palin, Bachmann, and a few others..

  9. I think you should develop senate/house/gubernatorial debates.
    You should have countries when you click in. Counties the candidate can visit this would make the he game more advanced. You should actually show the districts and zoom in if its in large cities. And what engine/ machine do you use to make the game?

    I think if Palin and Bachmann or Haley are really considering running, then they should be on that list; however, they are never discussed except on Tea Party owned sites. Larry Sabato doesn’t mention them on his ranking either. Susana Martinez is the only female GOP ever mentioned.

    I expect none of them to run. To they’ll probably just support Cruz if he runs. If Cruz doesn’t run, then maybe one of them will.

    I think they know they won’t be elected. Only establishment candidates get elected from either party. If they aren’t initially establishment, they start leaning that way. Even Reagan and Obama became establishment candidates while initially running as Conservative and Liberal respectively.

  16. I agree with Eric. I’ve had two games in which Bush I disgraces his son to endorse someone else. I also think, due to his health, that he should be limited on how many days he can be a surrogate.

    Like Erix mentioned, adding Carly would not be a bad idea. From the above article:

    “I am seriously considering it. I haven’t made a decision, but I think there is a need perhaps for a different perspective, a different set of experiences and different voices,” she said. “I think I’ll probably make a decision one way or another in the March, April time frame.”

    ~But she would be distinctive. She is currently the only woman on the Republican side who appears to be building a campaign.~

  20. Anyone have any idea how to fix the bug where general election candidates continue to run ads against opponents from the primary?

    I’ve had three games now where Hillary continues to run ads bashing Warren while running against Republicans in the general.

  21. The Economist shouldn’t always endorse a Republican. It should be centrist or center-left. http://www.economist.com/blogs/democracyinamerica/2012/11/us-presidential-endorsements

    According to their own admission they voted:
    Obama in 2012
    Obama in 2008
    Kerry in 2004
    GW Bush in 2000
    Dole in 1996
    Clinton in 1992
    No endorsement in 1988 (thought neither candidate was presidential)
    No endorsement in 1984 (had reservations about Reagan)
    Reagan in 1980

    I’d say that is at least Centrist, not center-right.

    Fixed in the latest internal – he is now a surrogate for Jeb Bush, with a Lasts for Days of 1, and a tweaked Barnstorming 2 -> 3.

    Do you mean House and Senate campaigns for Congress Infinity? We’ve just released the House 2016 campaign, and historical campaigns will be added moving forward – Mac and Windows. There’s no ETA at this point, but 2012 should be the next ones added.
