The winners of the July 8th SC vote are …
- Sen. Bernie Sanders (17 votes, 77%)
- Fmr. Gov. Mitt Romney (14 votes, 64%)
- Gov. John Kasich (11 votes, 50%)
- Gov. Nikki Haley (10 votes, 45%)
- Gov. Mike Pence (10 votes, 45%)
on the second round, from an initial field of 20 candidates.
Voter turnout was 24-22 (first-second rounds).
These candidates will be added to the official 2016 campaign.
While the victories of the 3 sitting Republican Governors are not such a big surprise, I think the strength of Sen. Sanders in particular is an interesting result.

Now for the 8th SC vote of 2014.
This vote will be for adding 5 new endorsers to the official 2016 campaign.
If you want to participate in the vote, you must be a member of the SC (Steering Council).
I think Haley is a surprise. Her name hasn’t really come up that much. I would have assumed Ayotte would have been chosen over her.
I don’t see Sanders as a surprise at all. He is the only candidate of the group that has actually been clear that he wants to run. His indications are even that he may want to run against Hillary for the 2016 Democratic nomination.

Somewhat off topic, but I would like to bring this to your attention…maybe raise Ben Carson’s percentages and/or fundraising abilities in the game, here is why:

Ben is becoming more popular…no polls have been released, but more and more articles showing strong support for a Ben Carson bid is becoming rather frequent. Just a idea.

That wouldn’t raise his %. He’s generally only in the Maryland poll. It could raise his fundraising abilities, but that’s about it.
Despite how popular he is presumed to be, he would have to be polled by one of the major polling organizations to really get past being 1% in every state except for Maryland.

I know this is off topic but I couldn’t find a space to put this, congress forever 2014 should be available to those ( like myself) who purchased congress forever 2010 and were not satisfied with the game. I hope that is because I would hate to waste 20 bucks on a game that is of the same quality of cf2010.

“The only thing that the media has speculated on is that it’s going to be various men that are running,” she replied. “They haven’t speculated, for instance, that I’m going to run. What if I decide to run? And there’s a chance I could run.”

Perhaps. I will try to post more information regarding potential Republican candidates. I am glad to hear Michele is considering another bid.
We should also add Jerry Brown, if we didn’t already, to the next candidate vote for the SC. In a recent article he was mentioned as a potential candidate, along with people currently in the game. It would be odd, because he’s 78 (in 2016). Not sure why he thinks he’s have a shot, but he’s being talked about.
Speaking of which, does anyone ever try playing the game with all the candidates “on”? It’s interesting if you put them all on undecided and then see who jumps in.
