  1. I’m wondering if Jindal and Thune should be taken “off”. I don’t think they’ve expressed as much interest as the other candidates who are “on”

Also Real Clear Politics has released two new polls on New Hampshire, if you want to update:

    REP:
    Paul 17, Christie 16, Bush 8, Rubio 4, Ryan 9, Cruz 6, Walker 2, Jindal 0

    DEM:
    Clinton 64, Biden 6, Warren 6, Cuomo 2, Warner 0, O’Malley 0

  2. Well, not “all” the polls. They do exclude certain polls at times I’ve noticed, sometimes for good reason, sometimes seemingly randomly. Heck twice I’ve seen them exclude a PPP poll, even though they almost always include them.

  3. I have seen the same, with them also during the Wisconsin Recall they didnt include any polls that said Walker was on top, just tied, and Walker won so take that as you wish…

  4. I was just playing 1912 as Debs and after a mere 22 turns Foss dropped out and endorsed Wilson and only North Dakota’s primary had happened. This must be a record though I think looking into why this happened so soon would be worthwhile.

  5. @Anthony

Another reason it would be good to create voting demographics rather than a general %.

I had Cruz and King as the only nominees for the Republican party. Cruz has an overwhelming lead over King. This would be accurate in a large pool; however, they would probably have something closer to an even split if they were the only two nominees, as the represent the two different extreme wings of the Republican party.

Likewise, for the Democrats. If the progressive democrats ran only one candidate, then the progressive voters are likely to rally around that on candidate.

  6. @Anthony

Also, I’m wondering when we can expect the Convention to work properly so that the delegates are released and given out to the top two leading candidates as it should.

  7. @Anthony

Here are some changes that should be made to Huntsman and Warren according to http://www.ontheissues.org/

Huntsman: Same-Sex Marriage from Center to Center-left

Warren: Same-sex Marriage from center-left to left (she’s been very vocal about this. You can google Warren + Same-sex marriage)

  8. Can’t say I’m surprised about that. Nostalgia, especially for the 80’s*, is practically one of humanity’s biggest hobbies.
    * I don’t know, I guess the people who make TV programmes are STILL the people who were young in the 80’s. Heck Regular Show, Family Guy and The Internship have been keeping that decade on life support.

  9. Speaking of position changes, Paul Ryan should go left on immigration, TARP supporters (Thune being one, I’d say Ryan’s another since he voted for it) shouldn’t be right on government spending, and people like Warner who voted for this year’s gun bill should move left on gun control.
    It should go
Ryan: Immigration from Center-Right to Center or Center-Left
Ryan and Thune: Government Spending from Right to Center-Right
Warner: Gun Control from Center-Right to Center-Left.

  10. Some other people’s positions should be changed too.
For instance, Huntsman: Corruption from Right or Center-Right to Center-Left since everyone knows Huntsman clearly prefers Obama and others in his party to those in his own to his right.

  11. @Jonathan re: Cruz and King, yes – having finer-grained blocks of support would make the dynamics more realistic. We shall see.

  12. I really like your games but the new set up for 2016 is a bit to forceful and it feels like your being pushed through rather then making your own choices like in previous game set ups……also i was wonder how far along you’ve gotten with the real time primaries because that would make this game golden

  13. @Brenden,

Thanks for the feedback! Can you say a bit more about what you mean by it feeling like you’re being pushed through? Also, do you mean real time primaries election nights?
