Awesome update! I just did a quick run through. Santorum still doesn’t race up the polls like he should. I’d also make Herman Cain and possibly Jeb Bush as options for the Republicans. Maybe start the primary part of the campaign earlier so candidates can drop out before the primaries start. Lastly, I think Huntsman is too conservative. In some aspects, he’s definitely conservative, but in many he’s left of everyone else. You have him as a 1.5 overall, which is the same as many of the candidates for the Republicans. I’d wage he’s closer to 1.0. You have Romney at 0.7, but he’s shifted right significantly as the campaign has progressed. Perhaps you can make the computer more inclined to alter platform positions? In the 2016 scenario, I’d add Castro, the keynote speaker from this year. I feel like the keynote speakers always end up running for president. Lastly, I think Huntsman’s debating skill should be a little higher, he was always very rational even though I disagree with him…he’s very intelligent. Bachmann should be a 2. She didn’t answer the questions half the time, and when she didn’t have an answer she would change the topic to getting Obama out of office or accusing a fellow republican candidate of being like Barack Obama.
Oh, in the 2016 election, you may still want to add Romney — just in case he wins the 2012 election (in game or in real life). Also, you could add Obama as well, if he want to run for a hypothetical non-consecutive 2nd term.
Problems
1. Rick Perry is still an endorser/surrogate
Questions
1. Do you know if you are going to add the select when to enter the race option or if you are?
2. Also do you think it is doable for the player to help organize the convention?
3. In the 2016 game are yall considering Santorum as a legitimate contebder as a possible candidate?
Other than the one problem great update!
On the news headlines one of them reads:”Bachman says HIS issue familiarity position…..” is she listed as a male?
I agree with Kevin about Santorum possibly trying another run. I also think Petreaus might try to run. He may be quite popular with conservative voters, especially if the War on Terror isn’t calming down.
Also, I’d like to see some new issues in 2016. I’m not sure what, but I feel like there will be something new to talk about. Maybe involving China, if so, Huntsman might try to run again with better success.
Perry has also talked about a 2016 run
@Kevin re: Bachmann,
Fixed that bug in latest internal.
Also in the 2016 version there are no Republican debates
Found a error, when playing as Cuomo an error pops up when you open the electoral strategy screen.
I clinched the nomination with Jindal got to July 31st and an external reference error message popped up and the game crashed
Lots of bugs with this one. Either “Out of Memory” or “out of bounds” or stuff like that, and I can’t really save games. A lot of times, it’ll say that it doesn’t have enough memory or something like that.
@GOPGipper,
v. 1.2.4 should resolve this problem.
@Jonathan re: 2016 issues,
Yes, we’ll see what issues emerge.
